I am an artist specialising in human and animal portraits.

I always loved art as a child producing mainly drawings of horses and other animals. In my teens this skill was used in making fan art of my favourite pop and film stars.

I studied art at our local college in Wakefield and then went on to work as a fashion designer making gothic, alternative clothing.

I always enjoyed art as a hobby producing the odd work for family and friends but 2020 has seen me move to taking more and more commissions as I launched my portraiture business.

I love to work with a variety of mediums including pastel, graphite, water colour, coloured pencils and acrylic paint. I enjoy using bold colour in my work to create dynamic and strong portraits. The materials used are high quality, light fast and archival which means they will last for many years to come, looking as good as the day they were created. Care instructions are included with all art works.

 

My own dogs, border collies, Bessie and Max are often models for my work, you'll spot them around the website.
